A family in our neighborhood/shul made a simcha not long ago and didn't invite us. We were pretty surprised but figured their guest list was too long and they had to stop somewhere.
Now I'h we'll be making a simcha soon. We certainly would have invited them if not for the fact that they had they had their simcha first and didn't invite us.
Is it weird for us to invite them?

Invite them. Pretend they didn’t make a party would you invite them you said yes so continue doing just that
