I bought heels for a wedding and I'm doubting myself now. What height heels would you consider tznius if you consider yourself yeshivish?

I'm Yeshivish. Yeshivish don't really wear 3+ inches in my world.

I personally wear up to 2. But I have high tznius standards for myself.

Depends what age you are.

3" is normal until 30-35

From there on most wear lower.
Maybe it's more because of comfort tho.

Never thought it's an issue. Younger women wear higher, as you get older and more tired and your feet hurt, you end up wearing lower or just thicker heels.

The ones I got are 2" block heels (for comfort)

I'm doubting myself if that's too high and I should instead get 1" sling back heels (the other option I can get in time).

I'm 5'6" if that matters

Your votes and responses are very helpful, thank you

I'm 5' and I wear 3"-3.5"

I'm still significantly shorter than everyone around me. I would not wear so high if I was tall.

I don't think it's about the height, as much as the whole look. Probably there is a height at which it would be ridiculous and extremely attention drawing, like 7 inches. But I don't think it makes sense to split hairs between 1,2,3,4 inches, like 2.5" is tznius and 2.75" is not tznius. 4 inches on someone who's only 4'10" might have a very different effect than on someone who's 6'1". May look different with a different skirt or dress.

I would just see how it looks and does it seem to stick out relative to what other people in your community wear. I think that is a good rule for any community for a tznius guideline that is not spelled out in halacha.

I'm not yeshivish though, so feel free to ignore.

I also would do 2-2.5 inches. Not 3 for me personally.

2 inch block heels sound perfectly fine. Would definitely not think twice if I saw you wearing those.

A very thin high heel, commonly known as a stiletto, is meant to look zexy. You can get away with more height when chunky heels are in style. If you aren’t super yeshivish you’re okay with a thin heel up to three inches. I wear three inch heels when I’m dressing up to go to a wedding or out with dh. Once you get to 3 1/2 or 4 inches you start looking like you’re selling something nice by girls don’t sell.
