I'm looking for some sort of diet plan that is relatively easy to implement (no crazy recipes, sprouting etc!), offers clear guidance and clear steps. I'm desperately in need of losing weight (my BMI is in the obese category, I'm not talking about 2kg here) but it is so hard to 'be careful' when I've got a bunch of little kids and not sleeping through the night!
Any suggestions? I'm willing to pay, but not a fortune. I live in the UK.

Have you tried weight watchers? It takes a few minutes a day to track your food. However I find that I get in a groove of eating similar foods at least for breakfast and lunch, so tracking goes very quickly. No crazy complicated foods needed

Intermittent fasting is definitely the easiest. Simple, straightforward, and takes no time from your schedule. It does take self-control though.

I joined best body 2 months ago and am absolutely thrilled with it.
The mindset work is a gamechanger.
I also love her emails.
She's great at giving easy to follow directions and simple nutritious meals for busy moms.

Good luck!

I second this. I'll add that I never had any success with the more lenient hours (8 hour window), but I lost weight on a 4 hour window (I did 10 am - 2pm) and I maintain on a 5 hour window (9 am - 2pm).

My suggestion:
1. Don't go on a diet. Make permanent changes to what and how you eat. Otherwise you're going to gain it back.
2. As part of your retraining, start counting calories. There are numerous systems for doing this. Don't know what's available in the UK but if you send me a private message I can suggest some specific ones that I've used. I personally don't like the online or app ones because I find them tedious but did hear about some new app that I haven't tried that actually use AI to do the tedious part for you. The app takes a picture of your plate and figures out the calories. No idea how well these work. Bottom line is you have to have a system for calorie tracking - AND STICK TO IT!
3. As I wrote in another thread, I have personally used the Torah approach to this whole issue in the book Body & Soul which I have found gives me that daily motivation that I desperately need as well as a very structured guidance on what and how to eat.

Mummies? I heard getting embalmed and wrapped in bandages is quite slimming!
