I’ve only ever heard of the minhag to leave a kvitel under the menorah on imamother. Where does it come from? Is it a legit minhag?

I just want to respond that last year. I put a Kvital Under my menorah for something we’ve been wanting for a while and BH Answered A few weeks ago right before Chanukah this year!!
