Can someone tell me how similar/different these camps are - in particular the girls who go as far as frumkeit and materialism, plus any other strengths/weakness in terms of bunk house, food, programming, staff, etc.
This is for a girl coming out of 6th grade who wants to go 1st half. Yes I know that Chaviva can be impossible to get into, but let's say someone has enough pull to get into both and just needs help deciding which to choose.

From my understanding that are both "in-town" type camps, but chaviva is a little but more to the right than ohr chedva. Many girls from Lakewood (not super yeshivish, but mainstream) go to chaviva, not too many mainstream go to the chedva.

My daughter went to Chaviva for the past two years, first half. It's a very nice mostly in-town mix. Yes, there is plenty of materialism but my daughter actually felt that it's just there, not so much of an emphasis (we are a yeshivish family, and DD was fine there without a ton of designer clothes). It's about how you handle it.
It's a very warm camp, not as huge as some others (like 4-5 bunks of each age) and very well run, responsible, etc....
