I think every community should have a central Hashavas Aveida location. Items with a siman worth more than a certain amount can be deposited in a central location (maybe in a Shul or community center).
This way the person who is missing his Tehillim/watch/headphones etc has just one place to look for it and every family doesn’t need to stockpile random lost objects until Mashiach comes, or post it on their status and all their chats.
Share your ideas that you think someone should do! Maybe someone will actually do it..
