In the past 6 months I have gained around 15 pounds. I have been trying to lose the weight through diet and exercise and it seems like I’m only gaining more weight. I had my thyroid tested a few months ago and it was good but I’m wondering if it actually is off and I’ll get it tested again. (I’m on synthroid). I’m going to the doctor next week, is there anything else I should ask about to have tested? I just feel like this doesn’t make sense and there is something going on that is making me gain weight and that I can’t lose it.

I find my body tells me something before my blood work is able to catch up. When this happens to me, it can sometimes take eight months or more until finally a blood test shows that my medication dosing is off. But I've learned that I have to suck it up and stick it out because it's dangerous to up the dosage on a maybe. If given too much medication it can cause thyroid to stop working altogether at the function it currently has, and become even lazier C"V, because synthroid it doesn't need is coming from elsewhere so it just stops performing C"V.
