How wrong is it for me to nap on RH? It's a long and stressful day and I sometimes feel like I need a nap to survive.

I have the same question. My husband said it's ok for me. I know I will feel guilty about it, but if I need it for my sanity, that's what I will do.

I was told that napping because you're exhausted is different than napping just because it sounds nice and you can. The Rav I asked said that it's better to nap than to waste time on Rosh Hashanah while awake (and when you're exhausted it's hard to spend time meaningfully)

I nap on my couch instead of my bed. The year I didn't was a big mistake. I was a wreck. It wasn't worth it.

My Rav said publicly in a women's shiur that if you need to nap for any reason (including and especially to be a better person, a more sane mother, etc) one should do so (if you can find the time 😉 )

The Chofetz Chaim famously said everyone obsesses over the napping thing, so they end up staying awake and talking lashon hara all afternoon...better to just take the nap.
