I drop frozen matzo balls into my soup before Shabbos when the soup is hot and then I let it simmer for a bit. Can I do the same with frozen pelmeni (Russian food that looks like mini kreplach or wontons)? Does it work the same way or are they more delicate?

They're not so delicate, but they have meat inside so you need to make sure they get cooked through all the way.

Absolutely, as long as the soup is boiling when you put them in.

Pelmeni are more like dumplings. Cook them separately.
