Doesn't need to be a knockoff per se - that feels a little immoral - but I'm looking for something functionally similar to this under $20. The kipling one is $35 *on sale* and it kind of turns my stomach. DD said the brand name isn't important to her, she just really likes the pencil case.

First link maybe, does anyone know the kipling and can tell me if it's the same idea?
Second link definitely not. Thanks for playing though 
Third link, thanks, need to decide whether $25 is enough of a "deal," I don't think I've ever spent more than $5 on a pencil case! But as I understand, this one is life changing? 🙈

I don't have experience with this one, but noticed it and maybe it's just as good as the one we have- this one is $4 less.
