My brother went shopping for me and picked up a “square cut roast” instead of a French roast.
Based on the looks of this, I am assuming I will have to prepare it differently…
Can anyone please share recipes for this cut of meat with cooking tips please?
3 ONIONS (diced)
5 CLOVES GARLIC (diced)
¾ CUP OIL (for sautéing)
½ CUP SWEET RED WINE
1 CUP WATER
½ CUP KETCHUP
1½ CUPS BROWN SUGAR
Sauté onion and garlic in oil until translucent.
In a pot, combine rest of ingredients and bring to a boil. Mix with onion and garlic.
Place meat into a deep baking pan. Pour sauce over meat. Bake covered at 400 for 3 hours.
Slice fresh or frozen.
I’ve done this with squares roast ( Officialy it’s for French roast. Bake 350 for few hours
