Can I give a baby gift to the Bubbie of the newborn during the 9 Days but tell her not give it to her daughter until after Tisha B'Av? I will be in my friend's town on Rosh Chodesh and want to leave baby gift with her and when she sees her daughter after Tisha B'Av , she can give it to her daughter and son in law for the baby. Can I do that?Or is it better not to?
if the baby doesn'thave anything to wear, you can even give during the 9 days. I've bought and given gifts for newb orns who were the first and didn't have anything.
