With kids I’d go away to a private house with another family. But I wouldn’t go away just two couples to a house. Personally. I’ll have them to my house. Or a group of like 6 couples together. But just two couples seems very intimate.

Really not appropriate. The circles I know who do, I know of quite a few stories where they got divorced and then married each other.

Nothing wrong with it depending on the circumstances. As long as everyone is staying in their own place. Doing activities during the day together. In a house would only do it with 2 families kids and all
Eta pretty common in my community for couples to vacation together once all kids are grown. So I guess not as common for newlyweds

That’s wild! My dream is to vacation with my DH. Never occurred to me to bring along another couple… it would feel less romantic

Did it with my cousin and her Dh, we stayed in the same hotel but we had no pressure to do every activity together, felt appropriate to me

I’ve never done it, but I’m not opposed. I love my husband and have no plans on cheating. Besides, I’m not the biggest fan of his friends. I do love their wives though and would love to do a families trip with them

Not a great idea but there are some outliers where its probably not terrible. Depending on how you know each other, the relationships between everyone.

So there is two men who are friends. Man a's wife grew up with Man b and there is no interest either direction, and never ever has been. And man b's wife is a cousin of man a. The two women are very tzanua and are strict on appropriate behavior.

That would be an outlier. Usually its a terrible idea.
