My walk in closet has no vent fan or window and it’s very stuffy in there. There is also a boiler right in back of it. It becomes very smelly if I close the door. I already removed shoes and keep those in a different closet. I hate to keep the walk in closet door open because it blocks the entryway to my bathroom. I don’t want to remove the door either. And I don’t have an outlet there for a plugin. Reed diffusers I already tried but they use up so soon and are expensive. Any ideas how to keep it smelling fresh with a closed door?

Damp rid. Depending on how big a space you may need one of the large tubs.
They really work. Many smells (unrelated to trash can/diapers of course!) I have found in my apartment are due to must and moisture.
I have them all over.
A friend has an electric one which is amazing but I needed one where there was no outlet.

Consider:
-- Replacing the door with a louvered door, or bifold doors that can stay open without blocking the bathroom;
--Drilling holes in the door to allow air circulation;
--Replacing the door with a curtain.
