Does anyone have a recipe for salmon that has a sweet sauce with ketchup and brown sugar? I remember having salmon like this at someone's house, but I'm looking for an exact recipe.

If you don't have this particular recipe, can you share your recipe for a sweet sauce to pour over salmon before baking? If you can give meaurements and instructions that would be even better. Smile

TIA!

(I'd like to make salmon for dinner tonight...)

I just started making salmon with a sweet sauce (after years of making it with the usual: Olive-oil, lemon juice and crushed garlic), and it has become SUCH a hit at our house, I doubt I'll ever be making it the usual way ever again.... O.k... maybe one day.....

Here goes: Mix equal parts of BBQ sauce, Brown Sugar, a bit of oil and crushed garlic.
Pour over the salmon. Sprinkle on some salt and pepper.
Place under grill for 10 minutes.
Don't overbake!!

Enjoy!!!!

Just brush with honey and sesame seeds, yum! After it's baked-about 10 minutes- take the honey that dripped into the pan and brush that on. Serve with mayo and fresh lemon.

It's not a sauce to bake with but we had this recently at a family simcha and my 4 yr old asked if I can learn to make salmon this way -

plain baked/poached salmon, season with salt and pepper only

serve with lemon and lime and mango salsa -

I got some salsa to take home and so far, this is what I have figured out is in it:
mangoes, pureed but fresh
sweet onions
garlic
green peppers (roasted I think then pureed)
s+p
vinegar (I think cider becusae it's not very strong)

I know I could ask the caterer, but I am trying to see if I can figure it out!
