I decided to start my Chulent early this week. I like to make it in the stove on medium. I let the barley and beans soak overnight. For some reason some of the bottom layer containing barley and beans burnt badly. the meat was nicely cooked but a long way from tender. I took out the meat and a little good barley, took out the marrow bones and started a whole new Chulent right away. Cleaned the pot, new beans and barley and water and seasoning. Threw the entire thing out but making a new Chulent and adding the meat in which did not burn at all. Made sure it’s all pure clean not too much barley etc.
Will my Chulent be ok?? It’s basically starting a brand new one 5 minutes immediately disposing the old one and cleaning the pot. New water new beans new seasoning new potato just newly cooked meat that needs to cook more and didn’t cool off.
