Who cares?
Covid was a new disease. The vaccine was new.
The information was new.
Everyone was exceedingly stressed. Many lost their jobs. Many were stuck home with abusive family members 24/7. You never know what they had to go through.
We could find contradictory information about Covid on reputable websites, quotes from reputable people, all through the pandemic.
Everyone made the best choices they could with the information that seemed to be the truth at the time.
New information kept being reported. Sometimes the people we trusted backtracked on their views.
Everyone was trying to do what was best for their family and the people around them.
Everyone! Even if the folks whose reports and advice they followed was wrong.
Would you demand an apology from those who believed that time passed at a constant rate and mocked those who thought time was relative once Einstein published the theory of relativity????

Covid mutated and changed. The early waves killed a lot of people. My husband had a few rounds of it and he said the first one was the nightmare version.
A lot of extremely important Rabbaim got up to say that there were a lot of people who didn’t care about getting others sick, that wouldn’t follow rules, and many people died. Quite a few of my friends lost parents. My neighbor lost both her father and her mother within a few short weeks. She’s in her 40s.
I think that people who insisted on the adults getting the vaccine in the beginning protected themselves and others as best as they could. If more people thought about protecting others than themselves, I think Covid would be gone by now.

No, only asking those specifically who took their opinion to the point of being extremely harsh to other people. Not everyone who thought so or said what they believed but were not mean about it.
You know who, the ones who said "you are a murderer" "rotzaiach" "blood is on your hands" "you are a delusional fool".
I think those who took it that far really hurt people irl by saying things like that. And if they come back to address it it will be meaningful to the ones who felt hurt by those comments they made.

Now that covid has mutated into the general class of coronaviruses, could everyone chill?

I understand but there's no excuse to bash and hurt others because of it. I dont think OP is upset at those that acted with the info they had. It's more about those that were aggressive and bashed others viciously that need to apologize. Hurting others is wrong. No matter the reason

Rosh Chodesh combined with that the science is fully settled across the board on this, all science is finally on the same page without issue.

It’s fascinating.
Could ONE person who got the Covid vaccine, please stand up, and say “I regret taking the vaccine.” ??
No, you can’t!
Because to admit that you took the vaccine for no reason, and got zero benefit, and very potentially harmed yourself, is too painful.
So instead, let’s keep bashing the anti Covid vaccine people, because in our heart of hearts we know they are right, but it’s too painful to admit the truth. We also hate being the losers.
I get it.

I got the vaccine, never got Covid, and as far as I can tell, I’m the same. So what’s the great confession I’m supposed to make here, again?

I got the vaccine, and I'm happy. Still haven't gotten covid, as far as I know. No side effects other than a slightly sore arm for maybe 24 hours. Had no issues with traveling to other countries as needed in the past year or worries about being allowed into places that required proof of vaccine. Totally worth it! I didn't lose out all, I only gained.

Huh what are you all talking about? Nothing changed. The science and mainstream medicine still supports getting vaccines, along with most Rabbanim. Why would anyone on here who supported it earlier think differently because people who were vaccinated got colds?

I expect adults to be able to deal with 'insults' without waiting for apologies. It's childish. Peoplevoiced their opinion. Some in a nicer way than others. We choose how to read and understand things that were written here.

If you fight here it will for sure be closed, really no need to post unless you were one of the few who took it to the level of name calling and character assasination, I could easily put a thread for the other direction too. Even if you are right it is unwarranted, but I think its easier to see it is unwarranted if you were wrong.

No, not if you should take it or not. That was never mentioned. Please reread.
