I got it in one of my food boxes from the schools
Want to make sure it wasn’t sitting out all day and spoiled.
How can I tell if it’s okay to eat?

When in doubt, throw it out. Unless you have a microscope and can identify pathogenic microorganisms, you have no way of knowing. Foods with strong smells can mask the smell of spoilage. That being said, the vinegar in mayonnaise [slow people] spoilage, commercially prepared foods usually are loaded with other preservatives, and the package was sealed. Why do you think the package was out 'all day'? What time did you pick it up?
