if I'm tripling the recipe of a cake that calls for it to bake a 9 by 9 inch cake for 40 minutes, and instead I'm making a cake 3 times that size, does it need to be in the oven longer than 40 mins? how long would you keep it in?

do the toothpick test periodically, and note the time for the next occassion.

Problem is its a pudding cake so it never really gets hard on the inside...

why are you tripling it in the same pan? are you using an 11 by 17 ?

Since I don't trust my baking skills, I would make the single recipe 3 times
just to be safe.
