Does anyone have a recommendation for a good marriage/couple's counselor in NYC? This is for a very-close-to-married couple who wants to work things out, but I imagine many marriage counselors would work with that?
If you're recommending someone, please state how you know that they're good in this field.
ETA: This couple doesn't have tons of money, so if possible, please also include typical rates.

Sylvan Schaffer. Frum guy, he's amazing, also an attorney. He charged us $125 for a 45 min session but that was 10 years ago. We really liked him. He's on the ou website. Very compassionate and honest and unbiased. Google him.

Shaya Ostrov in Far Rockaway specializes in working with dating/engaged couples to help with these types of issues, and has written a couple of books on the subject.
