So, I'm baking challa for the first time in ages - and I can't remember the bracha!

Please, someone help, quick!

TIA

(Amother b/c I'm so embarrassed )

Some have the nusah "l'hafrish challah min ha'isah".

On a related note, what do you do with the burnt portion? I learned you can't throw it out.

Thank you for reminding me! I still have the burnt piece from last Shabbos in the oven (can you tell I never get the opportunity to take challah?)

Once its TOTALLY burnt, what then are you supposed to do with it? Confused

Yeah, so did I. So now I have this week's & last week's. What do I do with them?

I think that once they're burned beyond recognition you can throw them out. That's what I remember learning.
