Help!
where do ppl who live in Passaic/Clifton area get school / Yom Tov shoes for thier kids? We used to go to Brooklyn or Monsey but the lines are ridiculous, I have no patience for it (especially with 4 kids!) I've tried getting shoes online, but that doesn't work very well, my kids need to be fitted... is there a place I can go where there is a method to the madness, not waiting on line foever, where they are good, and have a system dealing with the pre-school and pre yom tov volume?
any advice would be greatly appreciated

Now's a really busy time for new shoes. Some of the places I've taken my kids are:
Little Steps- Englewood, NJ
Little Shoebox- Montclair, NJ (not as much selection)
Nordstrom's- Garden State Plaza- I think you can make an appointment

Nordstrom in Garden State Plaza is fine (there's also a Stride Rite and a Geox there), although some people go to Monsey. Kid-specific private shoe stores are nice but that doesn't mean your kids' feet will be messed up if you buy elsewhere. I've had DD measured in one place and ended up buying things online b/c I found a good price on good shoes.

thanks for your suggestions... I will look into it...my 10 yr.old daughter is always telling me how she is "behind the style".. would any of you mothers know what is the "popular" style for this upcoming school year? Also, if anyone has any more suggestions of shoe stores it would be greatly appreciated
