What settings do I wash sweaters at?
I'm assuming I'll dry them on a towel.
TIA

dry them on a towel? that helps?
good to know! I washed dh's heavy sweater & hung it up to dry. Afterwards it still had that wet smell, so I just gave up & sent it to the cleaners.
Always wash sweaters inside out & I wash under gentle

cold/cold
but I wouldn't dry the sweater until it's bone dry - I would take it out while it's still a little damp.

its better not to hang it to dry, but to lie flat, because if you let it dry on the hanger, the shape of the hanger will be "imprinted" on the sweater.
Do you have a delicate cycle? and Woolite or some kind of detergent for wool?
It will come out of the machine soaking wet, dry flat, over a towel. (a clean one).

I laid them all out in the guest room on the beds and on the carpet to dry. Had a whole load of sweaters I had been collecting to wash together.....
