Per every LOR I’ve asked, and various hachgacha agencies - if it has a cord, no tevilah.

And we hold differently 😀
If there's no digital display, we have not had an issue with regular and drying out for several days before using it.
Please ask your rav what to do...

There’s an opinion that if something plugs into the wall, it doesn’t need to be toveled, but that’s a Daas yachid, the Yeshuas Yakov.
Most people disagree with this, though some, including Rav Shlomo Zalman, use it as a tzruf when there are other considerations involved.
Would you be able to share the link to the item you bought? It may not need tevilah for a different reason.
Just to clarify, there is no carte blanche “heter” to avoid tevilah just because an item might break. However, if the item is truly needed, it’s definitely something to discuss with your Rav, as it could be an important factor to consider.

DH asked our rav. He gave 2 solutions:
1. Sell a portion of the item to a non Jew.
2. Have an appliance repair person dismantle it and reassemble it.

Did he specify if the repair person has to be Jewish?

Pretty Sure that’s the case.

We typically toivel everything, cord and all. But for something that can’t, our Rav told us to do what Bethany85 said.

Right, because then it's considered as if a Jew made it and therefor it doesn't require tevillah

Firstly, ask your Rav.
If you dont have one, find one and make him your Rav.
You can find ideas from this site:

I know many pple who do the "sell a part to nonJew thing", no biggie.
They ask a nonjewish friend who may not understand but usually say, sure, why not...
Dont dip the machine into water.
