I was tucking my 9 year old DS into bed tonight, and he said,

"Mommy, 40 days before I was born, Hashem asked me which Mommy I wanted and I chose you."

I'm so touched, hope he doesn't change his mind in a few years as a teenager!

Ohhhhh thtas sooo sweet. If he changes his mind in a few years chas ve shalom he will change it back after his teenage years! lol But I am sure he won't change his mind at all! Smile

Thanks, all, just had to share! He is an expressive kid, and I often tell them about when they were babies for a few minutes as I tuck them into bed. The LOVE it.

For example "...then my stomach was hurting so I knew it was time for you to be born, and we were so excited. Tatty drove so fast to the hospital because he was also so excited! It's good we didn't get a speeding ticket! Then we got to the hospital and you were born, and we were so happy! The nurse said that you were the cutest baby she ever saw! You were adorable, and the nurse even told the other nurses to come look at how cute you were. Then we wondered what to name you. Maybe Moshe. No, you didn't look like a Moshe." and then I go through a whole bunch of random names until I say his names- backwards, "Maybe Meir Yisrael. Hmm, that sounds like you are upside down. Maybe Yisrael Meir? Oh, you look like a special Yisrael Meir that's a good name for you!"

I go through all kind of stories about when they were born and named, they never tire of it!
