Recipe for sno-cone syrup?

The little bottles in Target aren't kosher and the big gallons are too big and I don't even know where to buy them. Meanwhile I have a little crushed ice machine. How do I make a syrup myself?

But Koolaid mix and add water...bring to boil in a saucepan til a syrup forms. Here's a recipe if you buy the sugar free kind of koolaid:

Why not use defrosted juice concentrate? You can avoid some chemicals that way too.

what snow come machine did you buy to shave the ice?

I bought a Rival shaved ice machine at Target. It does about one cup of ice at a time.

Mamabear - thanks for the recipe! I bought the envelopes of Kool aid and I'll give it a try.

tzipp - would you add water first, do you think? OJ is good with the ice in it, like a drink from a restaurant, but not like a sno cone.
