Let me preface by saying that I don't give my kids a bath every night. I was taking my baby out of his highchair and going to put him straight into the bath because he was filthy. My 3yr old ds said that he wanted to take a bath also. I told him, but he's not dirty because he didn't eat anything. My point was that he didn't eat anything, not that he wasn't dirty, even though that has to do with the bath. He then stuck his finger into one of my other childrens plate with ketchup and put it on his mouth and then said, "now I'm dirty".

That reminds me of when I gave my 2-year-old an ice pack after he banged his head. My 4-year-old asked for one too and I said that he doesn't have a boo-boo. He picked up one of his toy trucks and hit himself in the mouth. Then he said, "Now I have a boo-boo. Can I have an ice pack?"
