The tablecloth liners that usually come in silver or gold - a shimmery, shiny fabric. Mine had no instructions so I'm still wondering what I should have done with it!

In my line of work, Mylar is a brand name for polyester film. This is the type of stuff that is often used to make book jackets like they use at a library. Are you sure you aren't talking about a fabric called lamé?
