I made a mistake with my tablecloth by putting it in the washing machine and it got ruined. How do you get them clean?

The tablecloth liners that usually come in silver or gold - a shimmery, shiny fabric. Mine had no instructions so I'm still wondering what I should have done with it!

In my line of work, Mylar is a brand name for polyester film. This is the type of stuff that is often used to make book jackets like they use at a library. Are you sure you aren't talking about a fabric called lamé?
