Fish with Sumac
Have not tried this but it should be good. I see sumac sold with the spices
Garnish:
quartr cup toasted walnuts
1 cup parsley
quarter cup mint
4 cloves garlic
1 T lime juice
salt and pepper to taste
olive oil
The fish:
4 thick fillets of fish
4 T olive oil
juice of one lime
tsp salt
pepper to taste
1 tsp turmeric
1/4 cup sumac powder
Pulse your garnish ingredients until grainey, not pastey.
Rub fish with olive oil and lime jice and sprinkle with salt, pepper, turmeric, flour, and sumac. Let chill in fridge for 15 minutes or up to 24 hours.
Heat oil in pan, add the fish and brown, then let cook through. Serve hot.
