Far rockaway 2 bedroom basement apartment, the year was 2021.
$1500. Was gross. No windows, smelled bad from the tenants upstairs, bugs etc. Basement apartments should be illegal...

2012 tiny apartment in yerushalayim 3400 nis
Then we moved after six months to a less tiny apartment for 4300 incl utilities
And six months later to a normal 3 bedroom for $1625
