They took a chest X-ray too. Bh they're really on top of things. Covering every possibility. What I'm getting done in 2 hours would take days. And everything at once. Not by process of elimination. Testing for everything at once and look at results as they come.

Sounds good. Of course dehydration is really serious, good that they are taking care of everything

The dr spotted at the first look at dd. Her skin had this rash. She called it a term that shows classic dehydration. In hindsight, she's been like this all week already. It's crazy to think that even my dr didn't pick it up and he's really great or so I thought Idea

I hope she is feeling better. Some hospitals have a playroom to help the kids pass time more comfortably. You could check if they have a playroom for your daughter to play and pass time.

They don't have a playroom in the ER.

Childlife services came by with an activity bag and some prizes. It triggered a crying spell for me. I thought it was nice and kind of them. But she's not really interested. She's hooked up to iv and not quite in the mood. She'll enjoy it when we get home.

My kids still play with the toys we got when my toddler was in the hospital 3 years ago! Helps everyone look back on it with a more positive attitude rather than a remembering it as stressful or traumatic experience.

While I have no idea what results will bring I'm prepared for anything at this point as long as I get to the bottom of this. Interestingly , I'm already so much calmer.
But I just spoke to dh. I feel like crying. He's upset why I don't trust my dr. Can you explain to him mother's intuition??? He doesn't get it!!

I cannot say the strongly enough. You must not have blind faith in any doctor. I know you have already internalized this lesson, but you need to say so explicitly to your husband. No medical expert in the world deserves your unquestioning trust. No matter how many initials he has after his name or fancy degrees he holds.

Good for you for being a tireless advocate for your baby. You're the best mama.

It also stands for "female to male" which is why I advise against using it now-a-days.
