you know how you can bake (cook?) rice under chicken? what is the ratio of rice to water? how long do I bake it for? I plan on using 2c brown rice.

Brown rice takes alot of water-- check the bag and use suggested amount, but be prepared to add even more if the rice is still hard after most of it is absorbed. Put some mushroom soup mix on the rice before adding the water-- also, take cover off for last 20 minutes of baking-- crisps up the rice and the chicken--really good.

You mean, you need help with chicken AND rice.
I never add any water when I bake them together; the chicken has enough fat.

I make this all the time and for two cups of brown rice you need the water (see above)-- spice well and bake covered at 350 for 1-11/2 hours and then check the rice-- if still hard add more water and continue baking until soft and most of the water is absorbed-- then uncover and bake for 20 more minutes

its prob too late but I ussually make the ratio of rice and water acc to pakg (I also use brown) but chicken on top, pour duck sauce over whole thing and bake covered for 1:45/2hrs...

It depends on how many of pieces of chicken you put and if you remove the skin.
