I'm looking for a recipe of a butternut squash soup that is sweet, with something like cinnamon or nutmeg in it. Can't seem to find it anywhere.

I dont know if its sweet but here goes
saute lots of leeks in a decent amount of olive oil
add water and cubed butternut squash when leeks are browned.
when the butternut squash is cooked use an immersion blender to puree it
I always first pour out some of the liquid into a separate bowl which can then be added back if you want more liquid.
add salt and spices to taste and enjoy

I don't use an exact recipe cuz I make it diffently every time, but I found that butternut squash soup is very good with apples or apple juice balancing out the cinamon. Yum.

I got a fantastic one once from mishpacha
I can't remember it accurately
bake squash in shells until soft - 45 min, when cool, peel and chop
meanwhile saute sliced onions in brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg...
add sweet potatos, saute
add water, butternut squash, salt and pepper

I think I am getting the recipe slightly wrong, let me know if I should dig it up - this is sweet, creamy, spicy and heavenly;...

This recipie is for a butternut squash soup that is sweet, but it also has a curry flavor...

peel, seed and cube butternut squash
apple cider
1/4 cup of raisins per squash
small onion minced
curry, salt and pepper to taste
veggie stalk (optional)

put cubed squash in a soup pan. pour in cider just until it covers the squash. simmer squash, onion and cider until squash is soft. Use an immersion blender to smooth until velvety. (if you don't have an immersion blender, you can use a food processor or egg beaters/cake mixer.) when smooth, add raisins, curry, salt and pepper to taste. If the soup is too thick, you can thin it with vegetable stock.

another butternut squash recipie I have is for a bisque but it's dairy.

peel, seed and cube a large butternut squash
vegetable stock
small onion, chopped
1 cup peaches (fresh or frozen)
1/4 cup cream
salt, black and white pepper to taste

put cubed squash in a soup pan with onion and peaches. cover with vegetable stock. Bring to a boil. When squash is tender, use an immersion blender to smooth until velvety. (if you don't have an immersion blender, you can use a food processor or egg beaters/cake mixer.) when blended, whisk in cream and seasoning to taste.
