My 2 year old son has developed this habit of lowering the back of his pants and putting his hand in. He wears a diaper. He keeps doing this, even by his playgroup Morah, who tells him to wash his hands. What could be causing this? I don't notice any rash.

My 30+ year old dh puts his hands in front of his pants (not in public, only at home). He said it keeps his hands warm lol. Not sure if that's helpful😅

Maybe it just became a habit. Wonder if u put on sily silas (legging with straps) or built up pants if he would stop.

My 3 year old does it all the time. I think it’s a sensory thing. I still haven’t figured out how to stop it… I did notice today that he was a little red under his private part so maybe that was bothering him. Maybe check if you see any redness that he might be scratching.

I have a playgroup and had a kid that was doing the same thing. I told the mother to put on onesies, no more problems!! It's the winter now anyway, it's nice to have undershirt on.
She also didn't do it at home, I think she did that when shy,out of habit.

I’d rule out pinworms and yeast with a doctor. It’s usually something physical bothering them.
