My 23 yr old child was kicked off my Medicaid plan because she is making too much money.
I need to get her a plan for herself. She is making around 65k.
Where do I go and she needs dental insurance also.
Anyone could guide me?
TIA

There is essential Medicaid a.k.a. Obamacare that she should be eligible for I would advise you to reach out to your local council

They don't cover dental, most paid plans don't

She makes too much for Essential Care.
She would go to the office marketplace and select a plan. There are a variety of plans and benefits depend on what Tier she selects as would the cost of the premium.
She would be eligible for a premium subsidy and the marketplace would tell her what her subsidy would be.

She can sign up for a marketplace plan, it’s very easy to do online
She has to fill out an application and they will show her available options based on her income. If she qualifies for the essential plan (I’d have to double check but I don’t think so) then that’s what it will show her
If she wants coverage for February she needs to do it tonight, the deadline is tomorrow. Otherwise she has until Jan 31st for coverage to begin on March 1st (but being without coverage for the next month and a half is really not a good idea)

Her only option is marketplace, which is expensive. 65k for a single is considered a good salary, so don’t expect any discounts. It’ll be expensive. Next option is Refuah healthshare, cheap but not insurance. Most people don’t have dental insurance unless they have Medicaid or get a discounted plan through their job. Many ppl pay out of pocket for dental work done. That’s life. Life of the middle class will cost.

It will cost a bit but it’s not unaffordable like regular insurance is.
Go to the website. Type in family size of 1 person. Type in her income and you will see how much she needs to pay.
If she’s in good health you can get away with paying minimal. You will have a high deductible if you need to actually use it for something major like a hospital stay but if you really don’t want to spend and she hardly goes to the Dr you can basically pay for a few appointments if she needs it and have the insurance in case of emergency.

Call Proassist. 8458242300
They are very efficient.
There is a separate thing for dental which pays everything. I hope Proassist knows. If not I'll come back to post bli neder when I find the info.
Thanks

The purchased plan through the marketplace does cover dental though not everything. And with a $65k income she will most probably be eligible for a discount.

Your daughter would be eligible for a $421 premium subsidy based on her income. She can preview plans but she needs to enroll by tomorrow for coverage starting February 1.
The subsidy should make her premiums affordable depending on plan she selects.
And if she doesn’t enroll in the next few weeks she wouidnt be able to get ACA compliant insurance until next year.

Are you sure her work doesn’t offer any insurance?
If not, call community outreach center and make an appointment. This is literally what they do. They will guide her through the whole process of buying a plan through the NYS marketplace
