Are 2 gas stoves better than 1 double wall electric?

Im a huge baker and I cook alot.
Does gas cook so much better that it's worth 2 separate ovens rather than a wall double oven which is electric?

The double wall ovens are hard to put things in and out of being that it opens to your waist and you have to put things in sideways

I have 2 stove top ranges, instead of a wall oven and cook top. I think you need higher voltage for the ovens. When I priced it a few years ago, I would have needed to spend a few thousand to change the voltage, the price of the wall oven was $1500 and thw cooktop was $1000, as opposed to purchasing 2 ranges for $500-$600 each. So price wise there was a huge difference. I have gas ranges. But I think the new wall ovens, that are for sale today are all electric? someone correct me. I am no sure about that.
I love having 2 ranges, so I now have a total of 10 burners and 2 ovens. I am very happy with my decision. B'H.

I hate my wall ovens. Doesn’t bake evenly at all. My food doesn’t come out as good as when I had gas.

Electric ovens are generally considered to be more desirable than gas ovens which is why the more expensive stoves might be dual fuel with gas burners and an electric oven.

Wall ovens are considered to be an upgrade over stoves. They are more comfortable to use because they are at a moe convenient height. My oven opens to the side (Bosch) and so it is very ergonomic to use since I can stand directly in front to take stuff in and out instead of loading from the side like an oven that open down.

If you want to go really high end the best ovens for baking (and well as other stuff) are plumbed steam ovens which provide the moist heat that a bakery oven does for many baked items.

Wall ovens are more expensive than stoves for a variety of reasons. You need a special cabinet to hold the ovens versus a stove which just slides into a blank place in the counter.

Most modern electrical codes require major appliances to be on their own heavy duty circuit so an oven and cooktop each require a circuit which may mean you have to upgrade your panel.

Size is an issue as you need a large kitchen in order to have the necessary space for wall ovens. Most builder grade homes have a stove with the microwave/vent on top of the stove to save room.

And of course there are higher quality wall ovens and higher qualify stoves just like any appliance. The best ovens would be true convection ovens which have a third heating element instead of just a fan blowing hot air.

Thanks everyone. I already have the wall oven and cook top. So it's not an issue of space and money. It's more that in my old kitchen my cakes and cookies were so consistent in my gas oven and I can't get it the same in my wall electric one. Same brand oven. Only difference is gas vs. Electric

I chose gas ovens and stovetops and not wall ovens. I like how gas cooks better.

You shouldn’t be getting inconsistent results since electric ovens are more consistent than gas.

Have you checked temperature with a good oven thermometer as you might need to calibrate the temperature.

What recipes do you use. In general modern recipes assume electric oven so if you are using older recipes you might have been modifying for your older oven.

Maybe consistent in temperature but it doesn’t bake evenly I find…

Same recipes I made in my old kitchen just a few years back. This isn't an issue with the recipes. I'm a great cook and baker. The change came when I got the new oven

So glad to see this thread as I really need some help to to decide. I have 2 ranges but getting older, and when I do a lot of baking I find my back hurts from bending over.

But I don't have a very large space, so I'm loosing the look of a long counter (broken up by 2 stoves) whereas my kitchen person thinks that a wall oven in the middle won't look so nice.

My thought was to go first to appliance store & see all the options. I like the sound of that Bosch oven. (I had a wall oven long ago, can't really remember if I liked it!)

I have a Frigidaire double wall oven in my new house, the previous owner put it in. It doesn’t bake as nicely and evenly as my ge profile range. It’s also hotter and I need to check everything earlier than the suggested time. They also break a lot more often and need repair.
If I were making a kitchen I don’t think I would choose a double wall. It looks pretty and the height is nice but nothing else appeals.

If you have space for two, two is better. Easier and cheaper to replace. More burners.
