37.5 isn't considered fever at all
Rectal reading of 37.8 is when fever starts

I see such a huge difference on how my kids react and how much they drink when they have their fever treated.
But my kids are special, they really know how to freak us out. If they have fever it's high - 39.5/103 and then with medication goes down but not always straight away. Most of them react better with paracetamol but only are willing to take ibuprofen.
Very rare for my child to have low grade fever, but if they do I give straight away, no reason for it to go up or for them to not feel good.

The relief of seeing your child sweat 20-60 mins after taking medication is another world

Fevers are beneficial so unless my child is incredibly uncomfortable I don't interfere, and when I do I keep it to at home remedies like cucumber juice or vinegar on socks/undershirt.

I never heard of these remedies! How do they work??

Nothing wrong with a fever of 103.

I don't treat fever.
I'll give immune boosters, vinegar/onion socks, keep hydrated, nurse a lot extra.
For myself, I get into bed and sleep and drink until I feel better.
