Hardly ever
We celebrate fevers here.
Body's best defense. Fry those buggers.

A fever is the body’s way of fighting no need to suppress it, it’s actually good for the body. As long as the kid is hydrated just let it run its course.

We do lukewarm/slightly warm baths, lots of drinking, rest, chicken soup, wet washcloth on head if small headache, make sure child isn't overdressed.

I’m assuming whoever doesn’t give their kids medicine wouldn’t either take for themselves when they’re hot feverish and shivering?

I almost never take Tylenol/motrin. Literally only in an emergency.

Fevers are beneficial so unless my child is incredibly uncomfortable I don't interfere, and when I do I keep it to at home remedies like cucumber juice or vinegar on socks/undershirt.

In between 2 and 3. If they're complaining, then I would give tylenol. I don't treat the fever, I treat their discomfort. But they don't need to be writhing in agony.

If a fever is high, of course we treat it.
But there's no reason you give meds for a regular fever. It's not healthy. People keep their kids on tylenol/motrin continually for a week straight, it's so not healthy or good for the body.

I don’t remember the last time I treated a fever for myself or my kids. I would take immune boosters and give my kids as well ( they don’t always want to take but we try) and make sure to stay hydrated.

In general, that is generally how I operate. However, given that my toddler is likely to curl up under a blanket and fall asleep in this situation, whereas I am still going to be driving carpool, serving meals, etc, I might choose to take something in order to be able to function for everyone's sake.

Read the poll- the third was "no- let it run it's course barring any major pain or discomfort"

no- obviously if my kid is suffering (or I am) I give the meds. I believe that whoever responded that they don't give meds, was responding regarding if it's just a fever and slight discomfort, not "hot feverish and shivering"

Babies get Tylenol. If a big kid wants he can have otherwise let it run its course. Kid can decide from around age 4

I give because if I don’t they’re usually vomitting. Esp at night, by day I try to ride it out.

I always bring the fever down, first I try a bath, if that doesn't help, move to meds.

Babies I always give tylenol/Motrin when they have a fever.
Otherwise if the kids wants or has fever above 102?
I have kids who fever goes to 105.9... I give tylenol every 4-6 hours and usually max the dose for 24 hours. Also give baths for the high fevers.

My kids never feel well
With fever. Neither do I. If we can’t rest or sleep then our bodies can’t heal. If we don’t feel better we can’t eat or drink or function.
