Haven't read this yet but so many of the serials are downright confusingly written and just bad literature, every sentence is an innuendo and every paragraph switches viewpoints or tense.

From what I see the young gerusha is meeting with two friends, one Kallah, one still looking. The gerusha is imagining cozy evenings with friends in her marital apartment. It ends with dad giving her a little ice bath about affording the apartment. I imagine she is going to learn the hard way…

OP I am an avid reader of Ami and had to read it more than once to kinda understand what was going on. Is it a young writer or am I just not concentrating well.

I've not enjoyed it so far. It is a shame to have a character with, what seems at the moment, a shallow reason to divorce.
She was angry because he was following the election news on a kosher website in his lunchbreak. She seems to think she should be married to somebody on a higher level then her middos deserve.
More may come to light but that appears the extent of it at the moment. Her family and friends thought he was a good guy and his family were paying their rent rather than her father (except recently) as her family struggle financially (which can make it harder to find a good learner)
No mention yet of her having a job.

I dont think it will end with just the kosher news site....and it was lots of hours....not just lunchbreak

So far I like the story. She definitely sounds immature. I'm sure there's more to her though and it sounds somewhat like it could be real. We haven't learned enough about him yet. I'm guessing there's more to him too.

I think if it was a prn addiction she would tell her father. It mentions that her father tried to tell her that Avigdor following the news is perfectly ok because it’s kosher entertainment so if it was more than news she would have told her father.
So far it seems that the story is about people getting divorced for no good reason, just from immaturity and lack of middos and perseverance. She is still a nebach, because in her view she fell in.
Her mother in law sounds horrible. I wonder if that also pushed her to leave.
Maybe later we’ll find out that he did have a prn addiction , or some other terrible anddiction / issue, and maybe that will be the moral of the story - that some young divorcees are viewed as self centred and immature people when really they were suffering tremendously and nobody knows what goes on by anyone behind closed doors.
But so far she just sounds like an immature brat.
