Chani and her sister are lil girls, they move with their father to Jewish community in monsey from Mexico as the father became frum and divorced his Mexican wife.
They end up in a satmar school, the dad has 2 or 3 more attempts at marriage and they end in divorce.
At some point they move to Monroe
They go to satmar school. The community is warm and kind...chanis big sister marries young and divorces and struggles with Yiddishkeit.
Chani eventually married at a slower more thought out pace, she has a very sick baby simi, she needs heart procedure and has other disabilities like extreme weakness on one side of her body...
Chani flies to Mexico with baby #2 to meet her birth mom for first time in 20 years, there's tremendous pain on both sides and they try to patch things up a bit
Her mom continues to make an appearance every now and then but the relationship remains strained (her mom isn't frum).
Simi marries a boy with a limp or other health condition. When simis is preg with yanky the Drs tell her she's carrying a sick baby.
He ends up being a perfect healthy boy
When yanky is 2 simi is diagnosed with stage 4 liver c@ncer she dues approx 2 years later.
That's where the story is at now

How can one person suffer so much?
(I read this week that chana worked at Aishes Chayil.
I was there 15 yrs ago and there was a chassidish woman working there as a nurse. I’m wondering if that was her?)
