Where are you located? Is there a need that you can fill in a lucrative way? Do you have any special talents that you can use to make money?

Maybe say which business you opened so that she can try something else?

As an entrepreneur, I have a few things to say:

1. It's a long and hard road with so many ups and downs, so many unexpected things pop up all the time- again and again.

2. There's a ton of personal growth needed to be successful. It takes a very large amount of grit and resilience to keep doing it and showing up when nothing seems to go right.

3. It takes more time and money, a lot more.

4. You need to pick something you're very passionate about as on those really hard days, you need a powerful 'why' and something strong to pull you through.

5. Having a well thought out business plan is critical- you don't need everything but needs deep thought. But action is critical and perfectionism is the enemy of productivity.

6. Learn and inhale everything in your industry and business in general, there's a ton of free stuff out there. Books - libraries have so many- print, pdf, audio, podcasts, YouTube, LinkedIn.

7. Mindset is everything, if you think you can and you think you can't: you're right.

8. Get support in the form of both a coach or mentor and peer support. Your family, friends and neighbors won't understand what you're doing and will try to protect you and can make you question yourself again and again. Even with the support, there can be many lonely moments.

Entrepreneurship is very rewarding and powerful, but it comes with all these parts which makes the reward so much more impactful.

Most businesses fail, look up the statistics. Don't take failure in business personally and you'll be fins. Most successful entrepreneurs failed multiple times before the one that made them successful.

There's no such a thing as overnight success-no one sees the days, months and years of constant work and work that goes into it.

Look at any successful athlete- years and years of committed practice and a coach got them there.

I'm not going to name my industry, suffice it to say I've experienced more failures than wins, but I would never trade this journey in, the self growth itself is empowering.

What works or doesn't work for one person doesn't mean anything for another person.
We're each wired differently, have different passions, life circumstances and target market.
