I voted yes but I already wear tichels exclusively. I live in Israel, it's socially acceptable here. I don't have a hashgafic problem with sheitels, but they're expensive and I don't feel like myself in them.

I would definitely wear tichels. I feel pretty in my pretieds. They have so many different pretty patterns.

no. in a tichel I'm constantly tugging and pulling to cover hairline, esp around ears. it's always falling back even with the velvet thing inside. I love my wig, I love how it feels, how I look, I feel like myself

Abnormal isn't the opposite of common. I just don't want my clothing to to stand out at work. That's my comfort level. I don't know where you work but I can't even begin to count how many comments I've gotten on my shoes, clothing or the way I style my 'hair' from coworkers and even clients so I l know it would become a topic for people to question. Maybe that's not politically correct but it's human.

I'm so curious if this poll would be posted on a neighborhood chat, what the numbers would be

Can I ask what kind of sheitel you have that is so comfortable? And for all othere who find sheitels more comfy thah tichels, what sheitel do you have? Genuinely curious bc my sheitele give me headaches if I wear too long

I don't let others dictate what I wear. Why wouldn't a tichel be acceptable?

Its so funny how in different places, different communities, different things are acceptable.
In my community, kercheifs are much more acceptable than wigs.
Those that wear wigs are the outliers.

I wear a tichel a lot of the time, even to smachot. I do get some raised eyebrows every now and then. My Sheitel feels weird to me. Yes I look good in it but it feels so fake (it's great quality), it's just not my real hair. To each his own.

If I had a finely chiselled face with a dainty nose, amazing cheekbones and a long graceful neck, I would wear tichels today. I don't need to wait for half the community to decide it's okay. However, my heavier set, albeit pretty features are far better suited to wigs so that is what I choose to wear.
