Hi
if you are into working out, whats your routine? You go to any local gym? what do you wear? I'm a beginner and I want to get into it. Any tips are appreciated

Good luck getting in the routine it’s hard in the beginning but stick to it! Working out is the best! I wear lululemon invisa thong (called something like that idk) with a maxi skirt and sneakers. With a sports bra and baggy long sleeve shirt. I have an old sheital I wear also.

No leggings? Why a maxi skirt? This is in the gym?

You could wear leggings. I just don’t like to. If I was doing exercises on the floor I would wear them. Since my workouts are all standing I don’t really feel the need to wear them. It’s just the feeling of leggings I don’t like.

I wear an exercise skirt from Kosher Casual and a loose top. Amazon carries these skirts and the delivery is much quicker than Kosher Casual..
https://www.amazon.com/Kosher-.....ss_tl
They're much lighter than some of the cheaper brands.

If at home too r u asking?
I workout at home, I usually wear shells so generally I'll remove outer shirt & wear my shell with yoga pants.
I need entertaining podcasts & music to get/keep me going. Difficult to start, sometimes I get off track, but the overall feeling of strength & energy, physically & psychologically, keeps me at it.
I have a background somewhat so I cam browse lets say Instagram accounts for new variations of strength training & be able to do them properly. But if someone doesn't have any experience, it might be a good idea to try & go to a class or higher a reputable personal trainer, even just once,, maybe with a friend to lower the cost, just to get a basic foundation of proper form/posture (to avoid injury) & how to not overdo it, but also not under do it & then see little gain.

Politically correct answer: I have several easy-care outfits consisting of modest tops and matching roomy skirts in bright cheerful colors and patterns, enough to wear a fresh outfit each day. Something like the modest swimsuits that look like skirts and tops.
Truth: I work out at home. Early in the morning. I use a rubbery yoga mat, many years old, and wear a ratty old cotton T shirt, of which I have many, and equally ratty cotton knit shorts. I possess a leotard or two, equally old or older, that I wear now and then when I feel like pretending to be a ballerina or belly dancer. Nobody sees me; the cotton knit fabric is comfortable, absorbent, and easily washable; and the T shirts cost me nothing because they're regular shirts that can no longer be worn in public but haven't quite yet descended to dustrag condition.
As for equipment, I have a small assortment of hand and ankle weights and resistance bands, acquired over a long period of time, usually on the advice of a physical therapist so that I could do the exercises at home . Most of what I do is a continuation of PT from way back.
I also walk several miles a day. For this I usually wear a nice T shirt or polo shirt and a skirt with an A-line shape that allows me to take long strides. In cool weather I add a zip-front sweatshirt and a thigh- length coat if it's really frigid. Gloves, mittens, scarves as needed. A small backpack for my water bottle and face mop (a small towel or big washcloth). My phone and headset to let me listen to music as I walk. And that's pretty much it.

Start slow and also you need to give your body time to recover in between workouts.

10 minutes is a good start.
Don’t overdo it too early, then you’ll get burnt out.

I work out at a women's gym.
I wear leggings (Assets by Spanx from Target), regular bra because I haven't found a comfortable sports bra, tank top (C9) and sneakers (Nike)
I get sweaty very quickly and don't understand how people work out wearing sleeves or head coverings.

You need to start slowly so you don't give up the first day. 10 minutes is plenty if you have been sedentary till now. Do this every other day for a week or two then add more days one at a time till you're at it 5 days a week. Then add a few minutes each day. Alternate calisthenics or shaping exercises with aerobics.
Promise yourself an indulgence each day that you work out. Preferably not food if your goal is to lose weight, but some other treat. Can be reading a book, watching a show, doing your nails, using the "good" perfume that you've been saving for a special occasion (any time you ignore your lazy yetzer hara and exercise is a special occasion), whatever floats your boat. It can even be food if you're not looking to lose weight. Or it can be. Promise yourself you'll buy the expensive pre checked greens instead of doing the job yourself, or buy an out-of-season hothouse- grown exotic fruit or something.
