You can not measure hair length in inches, because one length could look fine on one person and not on an other. One person could have a long neck, etc.

I take that back, sort of. I agree that it really depends on ther person. I was looking at some old family and friend photos - some people with hair/wigs to their armpits have really long looking hair and on some it looks more betampt. But I guess it is almost imposible, then, to have guidelines....
