Let's say you woke up one day and half your city decided they would only wear tichels. Half the Rebbetzins, half of your friends and family, half of whatever Instagram influencers you might follow, etc. It became 100% socially acceptable to do and at any given event, half the women would be wearing tichels.
Let's say the other half wouldn't blink or gossip about it.
Would you wear tichels?
ETA please explain why one way or another- would it be about hashkafa, comfort, style or something else?

I personally agree with purple. Almost all women look better to me with hair. And yes, I've seen the regal tichels. They look regal, but to me the lady wearing it doesn't look as pretty as someone with hair.

I’m going to be real and tell you the truth. I don’t find them gorgeous. Especially the ones with a lot of layers wound around each other, to me they look like some sort of tribal headdress. The ones that leave some hair out in the front and then are piled into this tall edifice at the back of the head, they look so uncomfortable to me and I can’t figure out how they stay on. Whatever’s keeping them in place must be a lot less comfortable than a wig. Im realistic enough to look in the mirror and see that while some people look gorgeous in a mitpachat I have the wrong shape of face and they’re not flattering to me.
A sheitel is much simpler to put on and to wear. Because it follows the natural curve of my hairline and because of the way it’s constructed it stays on without being tightly wrapped anywhere. Sometimes I wear a tichel with a grip underneath to keep it in place and I find it so restrictive and it gives me a headache.

In my community probably more than half of the women do wear a tichel out - to the grocery, gym, carpool even some school and shul events.
But not to a wedding or bar mitzvah
I think it's a perfect balance and I do too very often

A very beautiful woman, can look incredibly striking with elaborate bright colored mitpachat. A mediocre woman needs hair. Most of society is average looking.
