All the magazines have PESACH PROGRAMS advertised since Sukas!! There are probably 50 of em.
It's silly to fret over cooking and cleaning!! Take your pick!!

I still have half a brisket in my freezer from Succot. Do you think I can still use it for next Succot? How about the potato latkes that I just made for Chanukah. They're also stocked up in my freezer. Can I use them for next Chanukah? I hate frying.

I don't have a Pesach kitchen so never prepare in advance. But whenever I do prepare for anything else in advance I find it just spreads out the work for a longer period of time. There still always is the last minute rush. I make a beautiful Pesach in a week, with cleaning and shopping starting after Purim. I can't fathom thinking about it before then.

Purim is on a Friday March 14th (Yerushalmim on Sun March 16th) so your may want to deliver mishloach manor in advance.
Lel Haseder on April 12th which is motzaei Shabbos so bedikat chametz on Thu March 10th and burning on Friday morning April 11th.
Time to remind DH to refresh hilchot Pesach she chal be Shabbos.
Forewarned is forearmed.

Our otherwise tiny house has a second kitchen which we use as Pesach kitchen. And the idea here is being able to start cooking for Pesach late. Because there is no hassle of deep-cleaning the main kitchen, the week before Pesach is good enough to waltz into the Pesach kitchen and do it there and then.
I'll be fair and add that we do NOT invite 30 guests or so. We are a small family and make a small Seder. With pretty fresh food.
Not a joke. I'm serious.

This kinda depends. I mean are you hosting 50 people? Do you have 17 kids? Do you have two kids? Do you make everything from scratch?
Personally I don't get the hype around cooking so early and so much...

My good friend of Hungarian roots said she started with cleaning the upper cabinets (out of reach for kids) the last days of Chanukka when the kids we young.
But cooking? No.

So the expectant mothers who are due between Purim and Pesach can start cooking, because they know they'll be t'mei'ot (and I imagine they could use the extra prep more than most).

Thanks this means me.
Tbh this thread has me thinking to atleast start freezing suppers now for between Purim and Pesach so after birth we will have real food and can focus on Pesach.
I wonder how long it will stay as a thought

We shold start a thread of easy meals to freeze for erev pesach, or easy crock pot meals. The problem with Pesach is that you need to live while making Pesach, everyone needs to eat, we need clean clothes etc!
I find Erev Pesach is busier then Pesach itself...bochurim are home and HUNGRY! Post Seminary daughters are working and BUSY! School kids need entertaining, not to mention married kids and grandkids!
I have a dil who loves coming here from Rosh Chodesh Nissan even when they go to her parents for 1st days...yep it's busy!
