So after all the conversations about it..any recommendations for method that is gentle and works?
My baby is almost one and not on a schedule, nurses on demand around the clock..some nights he wakes up hourly..sleeps in my bed ..
I'm over it. I need my sleep and so does he. Don't want to stop nursing though. The

When does your baby nap during the day? how many naps?

To gently improve your baby’s sleep without stopping breastfeeding, try gradually night weaning by reducing nursing time and offering comfort in other ways like patting or rocking. Establish a consistent bedtime routine and soothing environment, and consider methods like the Chair Method, where you slowly move farther from your baby’s crib as they fall asleep. You can also offer comfort without nursing, such as through patting, or gradually transition your baby from co-sleeping to their own crib beside your bed. The key is patience, consistency, and adjusting based on your baby’s needs.

Read the sleep lady's books or google sleep lady shuffle. It does involve tears, but no leaving your baby. Takes a solid 2 weeks of really being consistent to work.

Yes I used a "gentle" sleep trainer she was amazing. It's basically 2-3 weeks of slowly removing supports every night - gradually lessening physical touch and verbal soothing, and increasing distance between you and the baby until eventually all the training wheels are removed and they can get themselves to sleep all on their own.

2 naps a day but not consistent timing. Depends when he woke up, what else is happening In the house..

I remember reading that with my oldest and liking it but didn't really find a great solution/ system.. maybe I should re read .

How much does a sleep trainer charge? She comes to you? Talks by phone?

All sounds good..but then he cried and I give in..I think I need a specific set of rules that I can stick to so I don't give up quickly

My husband's work benefits cover it bh but usually they charge between a few hundred to a thousand dollars depending on how much support you need (ex. A handful of sessions or more than that) and it's typically over video chat. Some will do like a one-time consult in the $75-100 range.

What time is his last nap time? When I sleep trained my babies (theyre twins) until 4:30 pm I allowed them to sleep.. than I kept them up untill there bed time was 7 30pm than I gave another feeding about 11:00 than was for the night until 7am slowlyi took off the 11 feeding as well once they slept though the night without a bottle... sometimes when they did woke up I had my aide give them like brown sugar water or even plain water... but they didnt drink it and fell asleep..
