I wanted to post a few of my Bakoshot were answered as well. I like how someone said, we write notes and stick them in cracks of the kotel. Is this any different?? We all know that Hashem is capable of anything. Even without a mekor, while I actually verbalize my tefillot and asking HaKodesh Baruch Hu to help, whether Shidduch, Finances, Good Health. There is nothing wrong with actually writing it on paper. I like to look at what I wrote from the previous year. While I didn't get the answers, I was looking for. I know Hashem is in charge and I ask He answers my Tefillot for things that will be for the good of my growth.
The most important thing, I ask for is that Moshaich should come B'Rachamam and this Golut come to an end and the world will recogonize the Dominion of Hashem.

According to this, it's not that the אור החיים went on זאת חנוכה, it's more that he was known to write to Hashem and had a talmid put a note on his behalf in the kosel. Nothing to do with chanukah.
As I wrote a couple years ago, people are applying the concept of קדושת הזמן ומקום with this segulah that doesn't really have a source, but the extent of the relation to the אור החיים is basically that he wrote a note for the kosel on some date that isn't really mentioned and someone else took used it as a springboard.

I also had one of my bakashos answered. It was the type of thing that would have happened anyways, even without me writing it. The rest of the yeshuos are more than just teva and am desperate for yeshuos. I hope they are answered this year, iyh.

Same! Did in 2 years ago for a baby, my last one, and after having fertility issues, and have a 1yo now.

There's no way to prove that yeshuos only happened just because someone tied a note around their menorah. It's more the concept of the power of tefillah on this day. Praising Hashem then asking for yeshuos without tying is also enough.

Publicising that some of my Bekashos were BH answered with revealed good Hoidu LHashem! Are you supposed to publicise specifically what your requests were and the outcome? Some of it is pretty private. We had reached a snag with our insurance for a specific medication that was recommended by my son’s doctor and we kept on hitting a brick wall. I davened to Hashem that if this medication is the right thing for my son, then please Hashem it should come to us easily and with no stress. Literally days after Chanukah we got insurance approval and BH it appears to be the right thing for his situation.

I'm not an expert on this segula, but I understood that you are supposed to publicise that (if) you got the miracle you requested, and not that you have to tell the personal details.

I didn't tie a note but davaned strongly and incredibly have 2 major yeshuas, a baby and my other child stabilized bli ayin hara
