Someone treated me to a rosemary chocolate doughnut from sesame. It was incredibly delicious! I wouldn't spend it on myself but I understand those that do. . I've tried others this chanukah, and they don't come close to the ones from sesame.
That's just my opinion. A freilchin chanukah!!

Agree. And compared to some prices I've been hearing they are underpriced

I'm not sure. $4.75 is expensive enough.

The same person got dd a dairy strawberry. I'm not a fan of dairy but dd said it was by the far the best she ever ate.
Their dough is something else.

I had a rosemary chocolate donut from sesame as well and I did not like the consistency of the actual donut. I much prefered the plain chocolate with napolean cream donuts.

By the way I think you mean live up to the hype. Not (worth) the hype usually means that they’re not as good as people say.

I sense loshon horah here. This shouldn’t be allowed. Just bc you don’t like it, it doesn’t mean you have to take everyone with you.

I'm reporting since I don't have admin privileges here, to fix the title.

I would absolutely get the cheese and the lemon ones again, though all were yummy. We got a variety fot a special occasion, and I thought they were noticeably better than the cheaper ones we got for the kids.

I believe they use brioche dough as their base which is incredibly soft, pillowy dough.
Honestly, I believe that’s their secret. It does take about 24 hours until you can fry them which is less convenient and probably therefore not utilized by many shops.
(I do wish they would fry them a bit longer though. They are sometimes doughy, but still the best imo)

Opposite of LH.
Did you read her post?

To those correcting op. She meant to say "they are not hype"

How do they compare to Tam Eden? I saw them advertise that Sesame is selling them next to Evergreen now.

The taam eden ones have much fluffier dough, the sesame ones are a little heavier/doughier. both are amazing it's a matter of taste.

we really liked the apple-pie flavor from taam eden this year, and the lotus from sesame
